132 Wounded in Sadr City;
The $3 Trillion Shopping Spree

The spring dust storms in Baghdad have given cover to renewed guerrilla fighting there. On Thursday Iraqi guerrillas used the cover of the dust storms to bombard the Green Zone with mortar shells. On Friday clashes broke out between Mahdi Army militiamen in Sadr City and Iraqi and US troops at the edges of the vast Shiite slum. Local hospitals reported 132 wounded were brought in, in the aftermath.

cover of the dust storms to bombard the Green Zone

The Fremen attack under cover of a huge desert storm, riding sandworms from the desert and through the hole in the Shield Wall. The great static electricity force of the sandstorm shorts out all of the Sarduakar's defensive shields and the storm itself nullifies the air and space power of the defenders. The Sardaukar and Harkonnen forces are unable to withstand the full force of the Fremen, caught as they are in total surprise, and the Emperor is forced to surrender.

GWB would have profitted from a few days reading Frank Herbert, before poking this particular hornet's nest.

Ayman al-Zawahri spoke "in an audiotape released Friday, referring to Congressional testimony only last week by the top U.S. commander in Iraq, David Petraeus, in which the General recommended a halt to further U.S. troop withdrawals until after July:

The truth is that if Bush keeps all his forces in Iraq until doomsday and until they enter hell, they will only see crisis and defeat by the will of God, said the deputy of al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden...

“If the American forces leave, they will lose everything. And if they stay, they will bleed to death.”

Wiki : The informal fallacy offalse dilemmainvolves a situation in which only two alternatives are considered, when in fact there are other options. This fallacy is also called ‘false dichotomy’, the ‘either-or fallacy’, and ‘bifurcation’. Closely related are failing to consider a range of options, called ‘the law of the excluded middle’, and the tendency to think in extremes, called ‘black-and-white thinking’. Strictly speaking, the prefix "di" in "dilemma" means "two" : When a list of more than two choices are offered, but there are other choices not mentioned, then the fallacy is called ‘the fallacy of false choice’; for example:

“Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make
: Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.”

said George W. Bush, in his speech of September 20, 2001.

did the dust storm slow down the installing of the wall in Sadr City?
