Cole on Amy Goodman's "Democracy Now", Oct. 23

My appearance on Amy Goodman's 'Democracy Now' is now available online. I am also giving the YouTube links below, which are clickable. But do help support DN at their web site.

I discuss developments in Iraq and Iraq, and in no. 3 below discuss the resonances of Bonaparte's invasion of Egypt to contemporary affairs.

Excellent interview. FRONTLINE has a new show on a possible Iran/U.S. confrontation.

An excellent and important interview.
It is unfortunate that the so called 'main stream media' are unwilling to broadcast this quality interview to the masses. Let us hope that Democracy Now and Free Speech TV will continue to grow and expand their programing in all parts of the United States and the world.

Your knowledge of Islamic history and interpretation of western involvement in the Middle East is impressive. I have followed your blog over the past few years through the blog of a friend.

Do you have cohesive suggestions for western democratic nations dealing with autocratic, tribal entities who are using Islam to control the Muslim population for the purpose of maintaining control over the wealth derived from petroleum sales to the rest of the world?
