It's a long drive, else I would be there.

Just had a thought. Given that the US/Israeli war machine has demonstrated to Arabs that they may be subject to the death penalty without cause at any time, was it wise to allow Hizbollah to demonstrate that Israelis can be defeated? What if other groups of dispossed Arabs suddenly decide that they have nothing to lose? What then?

(Memo to self: Buy that farmland. Marry that nice lady veterinarian. Raise beasts of burden. Without cheap oil, they will become the wealth of the future.)
